Ball screw is an ideal product that converts rotary motion into linear motion or linear motion into rotary motion. Ball screw is the most commonly used transmission element in tool machinery and precision machinery. For users who have just come into contact with screw, there may be no difference between them: ball screw is used for precision transmission, which has high efficiency, flexible transmission and good accuracy retention; However, the precision and efficiency of the sliding screw are almost worse than those of the ball screw, and the heating value of the sliding screw is relatively large (it needs to be cooled for a long time), so that the service life is short.
Advantages and disadvantages of ball screw: Advantages: high efficiency, high precision and high speed; Disadvantages: high requirements for the use environment and high price;
Advantages and disadvantages of sliding screw: Advantages: low price, self-locking (part); Disadvantages: low efficiency, low precision and low speed;
Transmission efficiency of ball screw and sliding screw;
1. The transmission efficiency of ball screw is about 90%-99%. 2. The transmission efficiency of the sliding screw is about 25%-50%. 3. Ball screw is used to drive the same load, which can improve the transmission efficiency, low energy consumption and higher accuracy.
Accuracy difference between ball screw and sliding screw:
The precision of ball screw is far beyond that of sliding screw. Therefore, only the ball screw can be installed on the testing instrument with high precision requirements.
The difference between ball screw and sliding screw in application;
Ball screws are mostly used in CNC machine tools, positioning table and other occasions that need precise positioning transmission, and are mostly used with servo motors and stepping motors;
Generally speaking, the sliding screw is only used in situations where force is transmitted, there is no high positioning requirement, and it is not used continuously for a long time.
